The spring walk can be complemented by a photo shoot among the blooming trees and medieval streets or a pleasant picnic on the castle walls, while admiring the panoramic view of the city. The event peaks in the first half of April, so it is worth keeping an eye on the bloom’s status to ensure you don’t miss out on this wonderful experience.

Here, we are simultaneously participants and observers, creators and receivers, players and rule-makers. With the click of the shutter, the photographer can stop the flowing reality, create a new narrative, and form a world that is always changing – just like light. The Budapest Photo Festival, in its ninth year, invites you to this exciting game with fifty exhibition openings and various programs from March 28th to May 11th, 2025!
