5. Auntie Náncsi ‘s restaurant

“Náncsi Néni’s” restaurant is the kind of nostalgic, peaceful place, of which there is unfortunately less and less. It’s the place where you feel at home from the first moment. 6. Marxim

Communist-style ruin pub with great pizza. Marxim is a place that has not changed much over the course of the past years. In the late 90s, the place was a colorful patch in the not so diverse Budapest scene turning the once feared symbols of communism into something ordinary as a pizzeria. They have a large number of different pizza options, with names that are word plays on communist expressions and words. This pizzeria is a relic from the dusk of socialism when a closed factory was just across the street.
