The Christmas Village Stephansplatz 2025 will take place from November 8 to December 26, 2025 on the central square in front of St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna. It is one of the most atmospheric Advent markets in the city – located right in the heart of Vienna, with wooden stalls, traditional handicrafts, gift ideas and typical Austrian delicacies.
The square is ideal for a leisurely stroll, warming punch and a view of the festively illuminated surroundings of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The market is usually open daily from around 11:00 to 21:00.
It closes earlier on Christmas Eve (December 24) and opening hours are also reduced on December 25 and 26. The Christmas market offers a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in a warm, festive atmosphere before or after a sightseeing tour of Vienna.
