When summer arrives in Vienna, the city once again transforms into a global hub for dance and movement. From July 9 to August 9, 2026, Vienna will pulsate with creative energy as the ImPulsTanz Festival invites you to rediscover the boundaries of contemporary dance.
What began as a small project in 1984 has evolved over the decades into the world’s largest gathering for contemporary dance and performance. Today, the festival is a firmly established institution, offering an impressively diverse program each summer: Look forward to top-tier performances by international choreographers, inspiring workshops for all levels, exciting research projects, and a varied supporting program featuring flea markets, parties, and fitting music.
ImpulsTanz is for everyone. Whether you’re a professional seeking technical refinement, a curious beginner eager to delve into the world of dance, or simply want to experience the energy of the international scene.
