From July 23 to 26, 2026, Vienna’s Karlsplatz will once again be transformed into a giant stage: The 17th Popfest Vienna will bring the best artists from the current Austrian pop, indie, hip-hop, and electronic music scene directly to the city for four days.
The central venue is the legendary floating stage in front of St. Charles Church (Karlskirche), but numerous other locations such as the Vienna Museum, the Prechtl Hall at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), Club U, and the PingPong Floor in Resselpark will also offer a packed program of concerts, talks, and jam sessions.
This year’s lineup features around 50 artists, covering a wide spectrum from newcomers to established stars, including names like Marianne Mendt, Rose May Alaba, Shake Stew, and many more.
The Popfest is about more than just the music. Beyond the concerts, a diverse program of talks, guided tours, and community spaces is designed to give you an unforgettable summer experience. The festival is open to all ages, inviting everyone to experience the vibrant local music scene for free.
