XX. Prague Gothic Treffen

The 20th Prague Gothic Treffen will light up Fuchs2 on Štvanice Island from August 29 to 30, 2025.

On the last weekend of August, Prague’s Fuchs2 club on Štvanice Island will become a haven for lovers of dark music and alternative culture.

From August 29 to 30, 2025, the venue will host the jubilee 20th edition of Prague Gothic Treffen (PGT) – the largest gothic event of its kind in Central Europe, uniting genres such as post-punk, goth rock, darkwave, dark electro, and industrial.

The festival was founded in 2004, inspired by Germany’s Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, and over time has developed a unique identity. Today, it attracts visitors not only from across the Czech Republic but also from all over Europe. PGT stands not just on a strong musical lineup but above all on its social atmosphere – it’s this sense of gathering that forms the heart of the entire event.

The music program traditionally unfolds across two stages – guitar and electro – in parallel venues, allowing guests to move freely between them, mingle, and share experiences. Over the years, PGT has welcomed acts like Clan of Xymox, Kite, Covenant, Ash Code, Das Ich, Then Comes Silence, Black Nail Cabaret, and Empathy Test.

A cherished part of the festival is the traditional Saturday gothic picnic, a perfect chance to make new friends in a relaxed setting. Prague Gothic Treffen is more than just a series of concerts – it’s a community, a lifestyle, a home in the dark heart of Europe.
