When you visit a new city it’s always a great idea to buy some interesting things that will afterwards remind you of the wonderful trip.

It is worth bringing some local souvenirs from Krakow: lace, glass and wood products, antiques or jewelry. In addition, shopping in this city is extremely enjoyable, as most of the markets are located in the center of the city. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the flea markets of Krakow – there you can come across a lot of fun and unique items digging in old things.

1. Cloth Hall

Address: Rynek Główny 1/3

This historic market is located in the Old Town on the Market Square and has been the center of Kraków’s trade for hundreds of years.

Today shops of handicrafts and souvenirs are located in the Cloth Hall. Here you can buy amber jewelry, glass, woodwork, lace and embroidery, folk costumes, postcards, t-shirts and mugs. Despite the touristic attractiveness of the place, the prices are very democratic.

2. Stary Kleparz

Address: Rynek Kleparski 20

The market is located near the popular local attraction – the Florian Gate. It is one of the oldest Polish markets since the 14th century. The main focus here is on vegetables and fruits, but you can also see pastries, cheeses, dairy products, sausages and other meat delicacies being sold there. Not far from this market, at the end of the Długa street (the longest in Krakow) there is another market – the Nowy Kleparz with a similar range, but higher prices.

3. Plac Nowy

Address: Plac Nowy 1

This market is a landmark of the Kazimierz district. Plac Nowy appeared in Krakow in 1808, and since then has been one of the most famous flea markets in the city. Every day from 7 am traders offer fresh products, games, clothes, sweets and many other various goods.

On Saturday, you can find a lot of antiques at the market: memorabilia of the Soviet era, military uniforms, old household appliances, antique jewelry, books, porcelain and ceramics.

4. Plac Imbramowski

Address: Plac Imbramowski 179

This one is a huge market in Krakow, where you can buy literally everything your heart desires: fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, bread, sausages, meat and poultry from private Polish farms, fish, dairy products, household chemicals, as well as clothes and shoes. On the territory of the market there is a cafe where you can drink coffee or grab a snack. In addition, there are currency exchange offices and even a spacious parking lot at the market.

5. Hala Targowa

Address: Aleja Ignacego Daszyńskiego 3

The market is located not far from the city center. It was built next to the historical building of the Market Hall. Here seekers of beautiful and original specimens would for sure feel great. You can also end up with real finds: Furniture, dolls, radios, typewriters, lamps, chairs, plates. On weekdays and Saturdays, you can buy bread from local bakeries, traditionally prepared meats, dairy products from family farms and fresh fruit and vegetables sold directly by farmers. There are also stands with flowers, industrial articles, clothing and footwear. Every Sunday there is an exchange of books and antiques.
