Bratislava doesn’t have its own Winterland, but we already have a Lightpark – Lights are talking in Petržalka.
400 thousand lights, light sculptures, kilometres of light chains and decorations. Animals, tunnels, but also Bratislava Castle are waiting for you at the Racecourse in Petržalka.
The exposition consists of more than 45 light installations, a light tunnel, interactive light photo frames, an eight-metre Christmas tree and a light imitation of Bratislava Castle made of 13 680 lights.
The author of the concept is Eva Poláčková, who brings beautiful messages during winter. “With the light parks we try to bring light not only into ordinary days when it is dark most of the day, but also into our thoughts in times of darkness. The aim of the project is to make the world a little brighter,” adds the owner of Decoled.
What’s even more interesting is that the exhibition is energy-efficient thanks to eco-friendly LEDs. The entire light park with hundreds of thousands of LEDs consumes only 7.5 kWh. To illustrate, an hour of operation of the light display is equal to an hour of operation of three ordinary kettles.
The exhibition is open every day from 16:00 to 21:00.
