The Ružinovské carnival will revive Miletička with tradition, gastronomy and good mood again this year on February 14th from 9:00 am.
The program that will delight everyone will start at 9:00 am with a performance by the folklore ensemble Karpaty, which will introduce traditional carnival customs. Visitors can look forward to singing songs of the masked procession, a cheerful dance by the bursovníky from Liptovské Sliačy and a humorous demonstration of burying the bass – a custom that symbolically closes the carnival.
At 11:00 am and 12:00, music will be performed by the band Kuštárovci, which has been active on the Slovak stage since 1991 and has performed thousands of times at home and abroad. Prima and singer Peter Kuštár, second violin and vocals Martin Kuštár, viola Peter Mikulec and bass Tomáš Gašpierik will bring carnival songs, folk melodies from various regions of Slovakia and Roma compositions.

The event will also include traditional homemade slaughter specialties and demonstrations of meat products that will please all lovers of Slovak cuisine.
Carnival atmosphere in Miletičova
“The Miletičova market is a symbol not only of Ružinov, but also of the whole of Bratislava. Ružinov Carnival is a great opportunity to combine traditions, gastronomy and culture in a place that everyone associates with a unique atmosphere. I believe that we will all enjoy them to the fullest this year,” said the mayor of Ružinov, Martin Chren.
