Forget typical open-air festivals for a moment: the Long Night of the Museums (Lange Nacht der Museen) has a completely different vibe. At this Berlin event, the capital isn’t partying in front of concert stages, but inside the city’s most fascinating exhibition spaces.
On August 29, 2026, 75 museums, exhibition venues, planetariums, and memorials across Berlin open their doors, inviting you to guided tours, workshops, concerts, readings, performances, DJ sets… and much more.
On this special night, Berlin’s museums open from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Instead of spending the whole evening in one place, you simply hop from museum to museum. This year’s theme is “Crime.” What that means exactly is something you’ll have to experience for yourself. But we can guarantee one thing: you definitely won’t get bored—there’s an extensive side program with special guided tours, hands-on activities, lectures, and live performances.
Tickets are available on the official website starting Monday, August 3, 2026. Until August 16, 2026, early-bird tickets cost €15 (€12 reduced). After that, standard tickets cost €23 (€17 reduced). Children up to 12 years old get free admission, though a free child ticket must be booked for each child. Tickets can also be purchased at the door at all participating museums.
