BMW Berlin Marathon

On September 27, 2026, the 52nd BMW BERLIN MARATHON will transform the German capital into a gigantic running festival.

The BMW BERLIN MARATHON is part of the world-famous Abbott World Marathon Majors series and attracts over 58,000 runners from more than 120 countries to Berlin every year.

There is an iconic route. The 42.195 kilometers lead directly past the city’s most famous landmarks – from the Victory Column to Potsdamer Platz to the unforgettable finish through the Brandenburg Gate.

The supporting program is also colorful and diverse: the popular BMW BERLIN MARATHON inline skating will take place on Saturday (September 26, 2026). The weekend is complemented by children’s runs, the MARATHON EXPO and the mini marathon.

Where to watch?
Only participants are allowed into the start and finish areas. However, shortly before the finish there are stands with standing room on both sides. These are free for everyone to access. Access is from the side of the Brandenburg Gate.
