Music has the power to uplift any mood! If house music has your heart, prepare to move and groove under Stockholm’s stars during this funky Tech House Boat Party along the canals of the Skeppsbrokajen quay! While boarding is at 8pm, the official Pre-Party kicks off at 4pm at Italian Cousins Restaurant — an ideal opportunity to say hello to the other partygoers! Featuring three DJs (Valerio Sinatra, Noname Emma and DJ Baby Jesus), the boat party winds down at 1am.
There’s just something so romantic about the idea of an outdoor cinema, perhaps it’s the nostalgia that comes with it or reference to classic rom coms! Rålambshovsparken Park’s open-air cinematic event is back this summer, and the event is free and open to all. Food trucks and small kiosks keep hungry bellies happy, and the movie (TBC) starts at sunset! Remember, the sun only goes down at 10pm in July in the capital city, so don’t be alarmed by the timings if you’re not a Swedish local.
Do you remember the catchy song “Vart jag än går?” Hitting the charts back in 2012 with their best-selling single, the Swedish reggae rock band, Stiftelsen are still going strong! If you’ve been fans of the group since their earliest days circa 2010, relive it all, jamming out to your favourite songs of theirs this July! FYI, due to logistical reasons, this live gig has moved from Josefinas to Hamburger Börs live music bar.
Originating in, well, Latin America, latin music and dance style has spread across the globe, and has become hugely popular! Moving your hips to the sounds of salsa, tango, Latin pop, bachata and reggaeton (a more modern take combining reggae and hip-hop beats), where Spanish lyrics take you into the night. What to expect at this fiesta? The line-up includes three live bands, a DJ, a traditional dance show and even dance workshops so you can learn how to salsa like the pros! And of course, classic Latin street food!
Forming part of the Color Obstacle Rush’s mega international tour, the Swedish leg kicks off in Stockholm, and promises to be bucket loads of fun — and an explosion of colour! The name of the event pretty much gives it away: exhilarating obstacles, foam-tastic hurdles, music zones and even powdered-colour stations, similar to the Holi Fest. Please note, you need to be 12 years and older to join this one for safety reasons.
Anyone else keen to get the party started??? If you grew up listening to multi-award-winning Grammy pop rocker P!NK on repeat, relive all the feels during her Summer Carnival Tour across Europe after the mega success of her 2023 journey. Sing, dance and rock it out rebel style to faves like “Get the Party Started,” “Just Like a Pill,” “Who Knew,” “Trouble” and “Try.” Special guests accompanying the superstar on the stage are The Script, Gayle, and DJ-producer KidCutUp.
Foodies, prepare your palates; craft beer connoisseurs, prep your drinking game, the annual Street Food Festival is back for a consecutive year, delighting food-lovers, brewery-goers, wine-drinkers, chefs and others alike. Food trucks, bars and breweries all in one space, this is street food from around the world, not just Sweden, including both savoury and sweet delights! Apart from the food and drink vibes, there’s also DJs and competitions. Reigning in the masses, we suggest arriving early!
Any other 90s babies out there? Whether you were born, grew up or experienced your pivotal adult life in the 90s and early 00s, you’re going to plutz over this! Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys (we repeat!) is headlining the event, alongside a bunch of other iconic music bands, duos, artists and DJs from the eras. Curious to know who? DJ Sammy, La Bouche, O-Zone, Blümchen, Army of Lovers, Lasgo and E-Rotic are a few teasers. AND don’t forget to dress up in your best Y2K vibes!
Travel to the Land of Smiles without leaving the continent during the Stockholm Thai Festival: a stunning celebration of all things Thailand, including its deep-rooted culture, world-renowned cuisine, intricate and colourful traditional dance performances, Thai music and arts. Free concerts, street food and drinks, art on sale and even Thai massage therapists. Khop khun kha
