It is time to welcome another great UK group in the cold north of Stockholm. If you are a fan of alternative music that is hard to come by in current media, then this is just the right cup of tea for you. It will be an amazing night for sure.

Alt-J’s decade-old debut album ‘An Awesome Wave’ shouldn’t have been the success it was. Not because it’s not a great album, but because it’s too complex. Too innovative. Too much art rock. But music listeners should not be underestimated. For Alt-J have since had a decade lined with plenty of highlights – artistic as well as commercial – and like their Radiohead colleagues, they are loved not in spite of their experiments, but very much because of them. The influences may be many and varied, the arrangements complex and impatient, but Alt-J have always maintained a kind of removed accessibility.

The Leeds trio have also managed the rare feat of recreating themselves with each album. ‘This Is All Yours’ (2014) and ‘Relaxer’ (2017), like their debut, have completely unique IDs and super-fresh album ‘The Dream’ is no exception. This time the band has used nostalgia as a driving force and the result is a magnetic mosaic of past, present and future. On the second of November, Alt-J will be at Cirkus in Stockholm and you won’t want to miss it.
