The Stockholm archipelago is the largest archipelago in Sweden and the second largest in the Baltic Sea. With almost 30,000 islands, islets and cliffs – from Öregrund in the north to Landsort in the south – each has its own character. The rugged nature mixes with forested islands, cliffs and sandy beaches.
Some of the more famous islands are Dalarö, Finnhamn, Nässlingen, Grinda, Husarö, Ingarö, Isö, Ljusterö, Möja, Nämndö, Rödlöga, Tynningö, Utö, Svartsö and Värmdö.
Here you can enjoy quiet bays or the open sea where the waves can go high, old villages where big houses and small cottages stand side by side.
