Jazz and autumn is a natural combination that warms body and spirit! And so we are proud to present the Django Festival as a part of Stockholm Jazz Festival. In order to fully embrace the cozy mood, a live performance is a must see.

An evening of tribute to the great guitarist Django Reinhardt with three acts on stage! The evening is headlined by Dutch musician Lollo Meier, whose unique musicianship touches the audience in a way that makes them experience Django’s music as vital today as it was 80 years ago.

Lollo Meier (NL)
Dutch guitarist, bandleader, composer and arranger Lollo Meier is one of the top players in the gypsy swing world. He comes from an elite family of musicians (e.g. cousins Fapy Lafertin and Stochelo Rosenberg). His vision is to pass on the music of Django Reinhardt in a traditional way. It is lyrical, melodic and joyful.
Lollo Meier’s own compositions manage Django’s genuine swing feel, but also add new nuances to the music. Lollo Meier’s unique musicianship touches the audience, who experience Django’s music as vital today as it was 80 years ago.

Swing Lab loves Lo (SE)
Swing Lab loves Lo plays music in the spirit of Django Reinhardt. They play and sing their own material, but are not ashamed to mix in anything that they think sounds festive to their ears.
