NAS is back! Hip-hop star´s live performance is something to not miss out on!
NAS is one of the biggest names in hip-hop history and one of the most important artists of modern times. His 1994 debut album “Illmatic” is considered an iconic work and is still considered by many to be the greatest rap album ever released. The style-setting Queensbridge rapper is as relevant today as he was when his career took off in the 90s. We are incredibly excited to finally welcome Nas back to Sweden – live at Fållan in Stockholm on June 1, 2022.
Special guest for the evening is none other than Promoe from Swedish Looptroop Rockers.
‘Your favourite rapper’s favourite rapper’ is an expression that fits Nas perfectly. When critics and fans list the greatest rappers of all time, Nas always lands in the top spot, as does ‘Illmatic’ when best rap albums of all time are ranked.
It’s an album that broke new ground and was a big reason why hip-hop evolved into a genre that then took over the world. “Illmatic” was recently selected for the US National Recording Registry for records that have had a particularly significant impact on modern culture – one of the top acknowledgements of music making in the US.
Nasir Jones, or Nas, has topped charts and received acclaim over the years for albums such as “It Was Written,” “Stillmatic,” the Grammy-winning “King’s Disease” and its sequel “King’s Disease II” and “Magic,” both from 2021.
It’s hard not to be impressed by the incredible career Nas has had for nearly 30 years. Nas himself probably couldn’t have imagined, as a 20-year-old in April 1994 when “Illmatic” was released, what he would accomplish. But now it’s 2022 and Nas is undeniably one of the rap world’s biggest giants. A giant that we will finally see live in Sweden again – June 1 at Fållan in Stockholm. It will be a night for the history books..
