For five days, Villa Medici becomes a meeting point for contemporary cinema and art. Now in its sixth edition, the Villa Medici Film Festival presents almost 40 indoor and outdoor screenings exploring the relationship between cinema, images and contemporary art.
PROGRAMME
September 16–20, 2026
The festival is divided into three sections:
* International Competition, featuring 12 recent films
* Focus, dedicated to out-of-competition works
* Piazzale Evenings, featuring outdoor screenings, premieres and restored classics.
The competition includes films such as At Night, Hanabi, Marie Madeleine, Natural State, Tutti Frutti and 1937.
