URBAN LAND TATTOO EXPO 2022: ROME TATTOO CAPITAL

From September 9 to 11, Rome returns to be the Capital of Urban and Street Art.

Now in its sixth edition, Urban Land, the only event that encompasses art, music, entertainment, sports and urban and street culture, lands in the heart of the capital.
The festival completely dedicated to metropolitan culture will take place Sept. 9-11 at Ragusa Off, an exclusive and extraordinary location in the heart of Rome.

Three days of artistic experimentation, cultural exchange, sharing and creativity in an innovative and engaging space within which confrontation, collaboration, innovation, originality and experience play a fundamental role in spreading the concept of art.

Born around the Tattoo Convention – the beating heart (pivotal point) of the event – the project has distinguished itself from the beginning by welcoming numerous side activities all with the common denominator of Urban and Street culture.

Currently Urban Land is the Convention with the largest number of participating Tattooists in Europe, more than 700, and more than 400 Performers of various disciplines who will bring the festival to life.

6,000 square meters of space in a single environment allocated to the Tattoo Zone, within which tattoo artists from all over the world will be available to the public accompanied by live performances on stage.

A specialized panel of 30 professional judges will award the best creations of the tattoo convention, the likes of: Andrea Marchisio, Antonio Ragone, Brigante, Buster Duque, Diego D’Ayala, Evelin La Rocca, Emilian Big, Federico Costantini, Francesco Baio, Gianmarco Celli, Gino Scuro, Koji Yamaguchi, Livio Cortellessa, Lippo, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Luca Natalini, Marcello Cestra, Max Santoro, Marco Bordi, Mat Aequilibrium, Michele Blunt, Nino Greco, Onny Somboon, Placido, Posco Losco, Raul De La O, Simone Pit Chirienti, Stizzo and Valentina Riabova.
In addition to the above excellences, not only from Italy, other Special Guests will be present: Big Meas, Boris, Carlos Rojas, Flaks32g, Juan Sanchez, Kristina Taylor, Quang Pham and others.

Numerous Live Shows will be held, during which the following will perform: Angela Novelli, Pole Dancer whose presence is now well established within the event; the Zucco and Mr. Cartoon, two incredible personalities of the Cosplay world; Valeria Perrone aka Ria, singer since her teenage years and music lover whose Winter Fire Beat written by Valerio Calisse and Dario Falasca accompanied everyone’s summer; after the great success obtained in the past editions, Body Painting is also reconfirmed with a live whose artistic direction will be taken care of by Anna Lovato and many other shows.

In the outdoor area, below the event, a JAM composed of 20 Writers led by Bone from TNT Crew, will give life to their creations on panels where each individual Writer will be free to express their creativity.

Special Guest of this edition, who will try his hand at the realization of the entrance portal: Nicola Lucidi, in Art Noah, a young artist of Roman origins whose path, which began in the midst of his adolescence was then consolidated by transforming his passion for art into a real job.
Freestyle Rap and the overwhelming Beat Box will also find space in this area.

Staying on the subject of art, there will again be set up, the Museum Area in which tattoo artists, judges and writers will exhibit their works along with the same ones that will participate in the Art Contest (the Contest dedicated to art, to which all artists can join by submitting a 90% complete work whose theme is that of urban and street culture and in which a poppy, the iconic flower of Urban Land, must appear).

Urban Land will also host “Tattoos on the Edge of Reality,” the 13th Edition of the Graphic Humor Exhibition, conceived, produced and organized by the FESTIVAL GRAPHIC association, consisting of 100 drawings by 100 international authors from 35 countries.
This is a high cultural level exhibition that compares the best international pencils related to the theme of the event. A visual journey through cartoons, strips and illustrations filtered through the ironic gaze of humorists; an entertaining show of images and inventions apt to solicit our imagination as well.

There will also be a section dedicated to Urban and Street Sports that will make the experience of those who participate even more overwhelming.
The Streetarts Family, an association with decades of experience in urban street disciplines such as PARKOUR, will be present; a prominent space belongs to Street Bike Culture and BMX. Professionals from My Fly Zone will perform breathtaking stunts.

Ample space has been dedicated to Street Food, the great novelty of the Festival; five stations will offer and cover every culinary sector while two cocktail bars will provide not only a wide selection of cocktails but also the exclusive introduction of the brand new Heineken beer: Heineken Silver.

The presence of Radio Roma, Official Partner of Urban Land Tattoo Expo Roma, is confirmed with a fixed location that will broadcast live from Urban Land on all its channels and follow the event day by day.

Ragusa Off located at Via Tuscolana, 179 – Rome is easily accessible by Metro A (Ponte Lungo stop); by Metro C (Lodi stop); from Termini Station and/or Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino) via regional train to the Roma Tuscolana stop. Tickets for Urban Land 2022 are available both online, through CiaoTickets’ e-ticket office, and at the box office during the days of the event.
