Cellittata Larianese

After the forced pause due to Covid 19 restrictions, the ‘Ara di Norma Committee’ Association is pleased to present and illustrate the seventh edition of the ‘Cellittata Larianese’.

In the first six editions, the combination of territory/enogastronomy was tried out, leading the event to achieve a success that was as much desired as it was unexpected by all the members of the Association. The numerous people who came to Lariano during the four days of the festival, to taste the excellent food and wine products typical of our territory, under the enthralling notes of musical and traditional groups, appreciated and promoted the organisation, which recorded an increasing number of visitors from the first to the last day of the festival.

Also for this 7th edition of the Food and Wine Festival, the ‘Ara di Norma Committee’ Association intends to continue along the same path that sees in the re-evaluation, redevelopment and knowledge of its territory the true essence of the event presented here, in a scenario where Mount Artemisio will dominate the scene, providing the backdrop to four intense days of celebration in which the flavours and traditions, not only the culinary ones… of our rich territory, will be exalted!

The event will take place over four days, from 30 June to 3 July. The strong point of the event will naturally be food and wine, and so, precisely because of the great value given to this aspect, it has been decided to entrust the management of the food stands to two local restaurants (‘Il Bersagliere’ and ‘Premiata Trattoria Prati’), renowned for their excellent cuisine, which will serve typical Larian first courses such as ‘CELLITTI’, the main dish of the event (handmade pasta made with water and flour belonging to the Larian tradition), gnocchi and tagliatelle.

There will also be sheep ‘arrosticini’ already proposed by the ‘Ara di Norma’ Association during the first six editions of the Food and Wine Festival.

To complete the culinary picture, activities related to the production of typical products will be involved: Oil and olives (Frantoio), Wines (Cantine), Cheeses (sheep and cattle farms) Lariano bread (several ovens) involving local shops belonging to the ‘pane di Lariano M.C.G.’ bakers’ association), handmade homemade pasta, traditional sweets, pork products and all the activities that will want to join in during the course of these last months, contributing to enrich the picture of the Enogastronomy.

The four evenings will be enlivened by local entertainment and traditional groups.

On Sunday July 3, the Association will organise the Second AMATEURLY/AGONISTIC MOUNTAIN BIKE COMPETITION DENOMINATED “2nd XCO MTB CITTA’ DI LARIANO – REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ACSI PROVA UNICA”.
National ACSI cycling event, included in the calendar of events of national importance authorised by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
The route will take place entirely within the woods of the Municipality of Lariano and the Regional Park of the Roman Castles, immersing itself in a nature rich in suggestions and unique views.
