Wine Expo Rome

High quality wines are an essential part of Italy, as they are among the world’s best producers. And if you also like to enjoy a glass of good wine, don’t miss the Rome Wine Expo. From May 20 to the 23, Barceló Aran Mantegna will host one of the biggest events when it comes to wine. Producers and wines from all over Italy will be waiting for you.

The RISERVA GRANDE Agency launches the 1st edition of ROME WINE EXPO. The great wine event in Rome that aims to promote the culture of quality.

We are convinced that the city of Rome, the centre of wine culture in Italy, deserves an exclusive event aimed at a knowledgeable and passionate public. The name we have chosen for the event clearly demonstrates the universal purpose we have set ourselves: meetings, business, masterclasses, training and promotion.

The NEBBIOLO NEL CUORE event, scheduled for last January and postponed due to the pandemic, will be incorporated into ROME WINE EXPO. A room will be dedicated to Nebbiolo with the planned format, including Masterclasses.

– TASTING BENCHES, MASTERCLASSES AND WORKSHOPS
The proposed Event is in fact intended to be a cultural promotion of wine and its chosen lands. The Italian wine territory, more than any other, is linked to the various terroirs that characterise it, which, in constant exponential and qualitative growth, is an example of how the territory can and must be enhanced. Great importance will be given to master classes with the aim of delving into the various terroirs.

B2B meetings with international buyers will be organised in the event’s halls and the event will be opened by a prestigious classical music concert.

– 7.30pm – Inaugural concert with tasting: “The Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi.

SATURDAY, 21 MAY 2022
– 11.00am: Opening of the Tasting Stands
– 12.00pm: Masterclass. Ghemme and Gattinara, the two docg appellations of Alto Piemonte in blind comparison.
– 3.00pm: Masterclass in memory of Pio Boffa of Cantina Pio Cesare.
– 6.00pm: Masterclass. The reflection of terroir in Sergio Germano’s Barolo wines. Parallel vertical tasting of Barolo Cerretta, Prapò and Lazzarito.
– 8.00pm: Masterclass. Tre anime e un territorio (Three souls and one territory): blind comparison tasting of Cesanese wine from the Affile, Olevano Romano and Piglio areas.
– 8.00pm: Closing Tasting Booths

SUNDAY, MAY 22, 2022
– 11.00am: Opening of the Tasting Stands
– 12.00pm: Masterclass. Malvasia Puntinata del Lazio. An ampelographic retrospective of the historic Lazio grape variety.
– 3.00pm: Masterclass. Presentation of the Albugnano 549 Association. The Alto Nebbiolo of Basso Monferrato.
– 6.00pm Masterclass. Presentation of the Association ORV – Alle Radici Della Vite. Orvieto doc between old and new vintages.
– 8.00pm Closing of the Tasting Stands.
