Raphael, prince of the Renaissance online course by Roma Sparita
The Italian painter and architect Raffaello Sanzio (1483-1520), nicknamed Raphael, is one of the greatest and most representative representatives of the Renaissance. He grew up in Urbina in the company of people interested in art. This city was an important center of cultural life in Italy. He was also sought after for his polite behavior, chosen behavior and willingness to colleagues. Soft, charming and artistically, intellectually and physically very capable, Raffael had a reputation as a fleeting lover. He attracted women and was known for many love relationships. The only lasting relationship was probably with the courtesan of Fornarina. He was the best in describing the theme of female beauty and often painted his Roman mistress Fornarina.

The guide for this course will be dr. Emanuele Giannotta, who will introduce us to the life of Raphael, full of wonderful opportunities, various meetings with renowned artists. Life, which consisted of research, study and genius, were among its three fundamental pillars. It was these three basic ingredients that gave him the title of Prince of the arts,
Raffaello Sanzio’s career ended with an untimely death. He died suddenly on April 6, 1520 at the age of 37 after a week of high fever, the cause of which has not been clarified. He wanted to be buried in the Pantheon, an ancient sarcophagus. The artist has had a special relationship with this building since ancient times.
And so now, 500 years after his death, you can remember the disappearance of the Urbino. You will also receive answers to questions about why such a young boy became the most respected artist of his time, but also which dark sides are associated with his untimely death.
