The Institut du Monde Arabe (Arab World Institute) is dedicated to the cultures and civilizations of the Arab world, but its architecture alone is worth the visit. Its famous glass façade features hundreds of metal moucharabieh panels that filter the light in a spectacular way. Inside, the collections explore the history, art and traditions of many Arab countries.
The panoramic terrace is particularly worth visiting as it offers beautiful views of Notre-Dame and Paris’s rooftops, and access is free.
