1. The Louvre

We can’t start this list of the top Paris museums without mentioning the Louvre museum, the most famous museum in France. The world-famous painting, The Mona Lisa, by Leonardo da Vinci, is entitled to special treatment. We need to focus on this special piece of art to understand its history.

2. The Musée d’Orsay

If you like Monet, Van Gogh, Degas and Renoir, be sure to stop by the Musée d’Orsay in Paris. The museum has one of the largest collections of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works in the world. Did you know that the Musée d’Orsay was first a train station before it became a museum? The building is a great work of art, built in the Beaux Arts style and opened on the occasion of the 1900 World’s Fair.

3. The European House of Photography

Maison Européenne de la Photographie offers great exhibitions for all photography enthusiasts. The museum owns around twenty thousand works of art, mainly photographs (silver and digital) and videos. 4. The Army Museum

The Cernuschi Museum is open every day except Monday from 10:00 to 18:00. The museum offers a tour of Asian art and its history. The Pompidou is a modern art museum in Paris, named after the French president Georges Pompidou. The Musée de Cluny is located in the fifth district of Paris and has one of the world’s most important collections of medieval objects and works of art. You can admire the objects exhibited in 3D, and see them from every possible angle, and with every detail.

9. The Museum of Decorative Arts

The Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris aims to promote applied fine arts and the development of links between industry and culture. It opens its web page by proposing a virtual visit at 3360 degrees to all the curious, but also playbooks for children on nature, geometry, light, and many others. It also offers an exhibition: Harper’s Bazaar, on the first fashion magazine.
