Anzio and Terracina will be the iconic seaside towns that will be the protagonists of ‘Un Mare diVino 2022’, the fourth edition of the festival that will once again illuminate the Latium coastline in July.
After two years of forced hiatus, in fact, the great festival of wine and cuisine of Latium this year doubles the locations and presents four days in grand style among wine cellars and illustrious tables, producers to get to know and cuisine of Pontine chefs to savour. A packed programme of tastings, show cooking and in-depth discussions for the most engaging summer event on the subject of good wine and good food.
Sea, cellars and kitchens is the irresistible triad of “Un Mare diVino 2022”, which for its fourth edition will stop in two of the most popular seaside towns on the Latium coastline.
Four dates to mark in red on the calendar: Friday 1 and Saturday 2 July in Anzio, Friday 22 and Saturday 23 July in Terracina. Every day of the event, from aperitifs to after dinner, from 5pm to 1am, there will be tempting wine pairings and admirable wine cellars narrated by expert sommeliers, tasting counters of excellent wine and gastronomic products from the Latium region to be won over by, enhanced by culinary performances by the best chefs in the area. In short, the best that can be found in July to delight the palate and refresh (as well as refresh) the spirit.
It begins as mentioned on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 July, for a two-day event organised under the patronage of the Municipality of Anzio.
The exceptional location will be Piazza Pia, the main meeting point of the town of Anzio, the end of the promenade that runs alongside the marina and many renowned restaurants.
The Un Mare diVino ‘wine&food village’ will be set up here, all around the fountain that embellishes the square, dominated by the church of St. Anthony.
In Anzio it will be possible to taste the wines of many wineries in Lazio, from Tuscia to Ciociaria, passing through the Roman and Pontine agres: These include Brugnoli, Cantina Bacco, Cantine Silvestri, Cantine Volpetti, Casa della Divina Provvidenza, Donne in Vigne (Terre di Marfisa and Vigne del Patrimonio), Marcella Giuliani, I Lori, lura et Arma, La Giannettola, Parvus Ager, Tenuta lacoangeli, Tenuta Lungarella, Terre di Aquesia, and Vinea Domini. There will also be a large representation of the Roma DOC protection consortium – with over 20 wineries – and a corner dedicated to natural wines.
The Anzio showcooking programme includes:
Friday, July 1
at 5.30 pm Walter Regolanti (Romolo al Porto, Anzio), at 6.30 pm Maurizio Criscuolo (Osteria Nuova, Anzio) and at 7.30 pm Mauro Godente (Al Sarago, Anzio).
