Songwriter Festival

The 1st Edition of the ICOnA Songwriter Festival will be held in Rome on Saturday 10 July. The festival will be an opportunity for meetings and cultural exchange, for not only music but the whole stage art. The undisputed protagonists of the evening will be the finalist songwriters of the selection that ICOnA has carried out with a call throughout Italy, launched in January 2021.

The initiative was favorably received from north to south, with artistic proposals that embrace the main musical genres, and with a personal range that ranges from 16 to 60 years. The finalists chosen by the technical jury distinguished themselves for having presented original pieces, rich in talent and personality. Each songwriter has in fact presented an unpublished work of which he is the author or co-author, accepting the challenge launched by ICOnA. In addition to the version recorded in the studio, a live version was in fact evaluated, requested precisely in the spirit of the final event of July 2021.

During the event, there will be a technical jury, who did not participate in the selection and who, like the audience, will hear the pieces for the first time. The festival’s mission is to promote every musical form of Italian songwriting, as an expression of the artist’s self and his vision of the surrounding world. In addition to Italian, have been accepted all the dialectal forms that characterize the Italian cultural and musical variety.
