Summer Dance Parties

The Budapest Dance Theatre presents its Summer Dance Evenings, a special series of pas de deux performances taking place on August 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026.

Centered around the many dimensions of relationships between men and women, these performances offer a refreshing cultural experience during Budapest’s summer season. The recently renovated DEPO Studio Theatre provides an intimate setting where audiences can enjoy outstanding contemporary dance performances. Each evening combines guest productions with works from the Budapest Dance Theatre’s own repertoire, creating a full-length dance program.

On Friday, August 7, audiences can enjoy highlights from Wonderful Word, a performance inspired by the timeless music of Louis Armstrong. Set within the walls of a bar, the production explores intertwined human stories, dreams, and desires. Through the expressive power of dance and music, the performance dissolves the boundaries of space and transports viewers into an emotional and immersive world.
