Nature photography exhibition

At the beginning of 2026, nature once again takes centre stage in Budapest. From 6 January to 1 February 2026, the Városliget Visitor Centre hosts the free-to-visit Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition, showcasing the very best of contemporary nature photography.

The exhibition presents 124 outstanding images selected from nearly 3,000 submissions, offering a breathtaking insight into the beauty, diversity and often hidden moments of nature in Hungary and around the world. Forests, wetlands, wildlife and distant landscapes come to life through powerful, carefully observed photographs that invite visitors to slow down and reconnect with the natural world.

The exhibition is organised by Varázslatos Magyarország, which took over the organisation of the prestigious competition in 2025. Beyond visual excellence, the initiative aims to raise awareness of nature and environmental protection, while shaping public attitudes through the language of photography.
