Generali Night Run

On August 30–31, a truly unique atmosphere returns to downtown Budapest, where this time it’s not the daytime bustle, but the athletic energy and glowing city lights that take center stage. Night Run Budapest 2025 is one of the most anticipated running events of the summer – not just a race, but a shared community experience under the stars, set against the backdrop of the city’s most beautiful landmarks.

The start and finish area will be located at Várkert Bazár, where a festive mood begins well before the race. Organizers will welcome runners with glowing wristbands, music, and a group warm-up to help everyone ease into the rhythm of the night. The course includes unique locations: it runs through the tunnel beneath Buda Castle, crosses the Chain Bridge, and follows several scenic stretches along the Danube – making the run both a physical challenge and an urban adventure.

Runners of all levels can choose from multiple distances: 7 km, 12 km, a 21 km half marathon, or a special 5 km “midnight sprint.” The staggered start system ensures smooth pacing and avoids congestion, allowing everyone to enjoy the run at their own speed. At the finish line, participants are greeted with a commemorative medal, refreshments, and well-earned applause—whether they’re seasoned athletes or first-time runners.

The event places strong emphasis on safety and smooth organization. Each course features designated refreshment stations, medical support, and a team of volunteers to assist runners in reaching their goals. The registration package includes an official event T-shirt, reflective accessories, and unique souvenirs—ensuring that the experience of Night Run lives on long after the race ends.
