From August 13 to 29, 2026, Berlin welcomes the 38th edition of Tanz im August, one of the most important international festivals for contemporary dance.
Organized by HAU Hebbel am Ufer under the artistic direction of Ricardo Carmona, this renowned festival presents a top-tier and politically engaged program.
This year’s lineup features 19 productions with a total of 54 events across 11 venues in the German capital. Highlights include three world premieres, six German premieres, as well as four Berlin and international co-productions.

Ballet national de Marseille / (LA)HORDE performs their impressive production “Après moi, le déluge” at Haus der Berliner Festspiele.
Trajal Harrell & Zurich Dance Ensemble present “Music Music – Histoire(s) du Théâtre VII” at HAU1.
Marco da Silva Ferreira brings his striking choreography “Fcking Future”* to the stage at Radialsystem.
Lenio Kaklea presents her piece “Les Oiseaux” at HAU2.
