Until November 8, the Biodome is hosting the Budapest edition of the World Press Photo Exhibition, showcasing some of the world’s best press photography!
The photographs tell stories of social conflicts, the climate crisis, and personal struggles. The selection displayed in the Biodome’s main hall offers something that scrolling through a news feed on your phone rarely does: the chance to pause and spend more time with individual stories, looking beyond the images themselves with the help of their captions.
The Budapest exhibition is complemented by two Hungarian photography exhibitions. Up and Down (Fel is út, le is út) presents photographs from the 2026 election by photojournalists from the Hungarian news outlet 24.hu, while Volley Fire: 1956 (Sortűz 1956) revisits the Hungarian Revolution through photographs by Sándor Bojár.
Visitors can discover powerful and moving images capturing the most significant events and human stories of the past year. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to connect with current world events through the artistic and documentary power of photography.
