Nobel Prize Museum

Welcome to the Nobel Prize Museum!

Swedish inventor and industrialist Alfred Nobel (1833-1896) had a clear vision for the prize he created. In his will, he wrote that he wanted to reward those who had “done the greatest good for mankind”. The Nobel Prize and the stories of Nobel Laureates form the basis for a wide range of outreach activities that show how we can learn from history to understand our present and influence our future.

For years, the greatest thinkers have been awarded this honorable prize. It has become a symbol for innovative, creative ideas and improving people’s lives.

The museum has several exhibitions each year, but the one you’ll want to see most is Nobel Week, when the whole of Stockholm celebrates the geniuses who work tirelessly to help humanity move forward.

The museum is closed on Mondays and on other days it is open from 11 am to 5 pm (on Fridays it is open until 9 pm).

The area around the museum also has a restaurant, a library and many fun activities for children.

Admission is divided into categories:

Adults –> 140 SEK
Students –> 100 SEK
Seniors –> 100 SEK
18 years and younger –> free
Members –> free
