Glasvegas

The Scots in Glasvegas dropped a bombshell on the music world with their self-titled debut album in 2008 – and even before that they could count Ian Brown of The Stone Roses and Carl Barât of The Libertines among their fans. The Glasgow band went straight from cramped basements to the big stage without any hesitation, with magical singles like Geraldine, Daddy’s Gone and Flowers & Football Tops. In many ways, the album defined the year 2008, and has since been labeled a classic several times over. This year it has been fifteen years since the release, which Glasvegas will celebrate with an anniversary gig on Swedish soil – October 6 at Nalen! Ticket release Friday, June 2, 10.00!

Glasvegas is one of Scotland’s finest music exports, and with their full-length albums have become big favorites with many. The band has previously made both large and small gigs in Sweden, and always tends to deliver at the highest level no matter where the gig takes place. In the same year as their debut – 2008 – they also released the Christmas EP A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like a Kiss) and have since then released three more full-lengths – most recently Godspeed which was released in 2021.
