Swedish lyrics, earthy rock music, punky energy. A group of childhood friends in harmony. A frontman who is known from a completely different context. That’s how Stiftelsen was described when they debuted with “Ljungaverk”.
The members are still the same, as is the basic concept: to sing honest Swedish lyrics and not to complicate things unnecessarily, but to rely on the inherent strength of the songs. The difference is that today they are one of the country’s biggest rock bands.
Their audience is huge: the single “Vart jag än går” is now more than ten times platinum and has been streamed over 80 million times.
In total, Stiftelsen has been streamed 200 million times, which in streams corresponds to triple platinum in album sales.
