Jewels of Rome, the places that only a few know but which are really worth a visit. A hidden and little known place: Bosco Parrasio on the slopes of the Janiculum hill, located in the middle of the enchanting Via Garibaldi in Trastevere. It is a garden chosen by the Academy of Arcadia which in 1726 will move its headquarters here to serve as a backdrop for artistic performances. The Villa also contains a small amphitheater and its history is a classic example of the coexistence between the sacred and the profane in the holy city. The Arcadi had a graceful neoclassical building with a concave facade and a small amphitheater, preceded by a staircase inspired by that of Trinità dei Monti. Today, after a careful restoration, the wood can be visited only on Wednesday and Friday morning. Come and learn more about this beautiful magical place.
