The Historical Park in Dolná Krupá will once again transform into a place full of fantasy, adventure, and family fun this year. From July 17 to 19, 2026, the next edition of the popular family event LESTIVAL will take place here.🧚‍♀️

What is the Lestival children’s (family) festival?

Lestival is a unique Slovak family festival focused on the world of fantasy, fairy tales, and nature. It is the first “fantasy festival” in Slovakia, drawing inspiration from Slovak folk tales and Slavic mythology.

For a few days, the entire venue transforms into a magical world full of fairies, dragons, unicorns, and fairy-tale characters. Visitors can literally “step into the story” and become part of it.

The festival isn’t just for children, but for the whole family. The program is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages—from young children to adults.

Why should people visit it ✨?

1. An escape into a fairy-tale world

From fairies to a three-headed dragon, Lestival creates an environment where reality blends with fantasy. You can meet fairy-tale creatures, complete quests, or explore “magical realms.” It’s an experience that ordinary festivals don’t offer. The world is divided into four realms—water, forest, sky, and shadow—between which the light being Svetlonos maintains balance. During the festival, children and families will embark on an adventurous journey through the land, meet creatures inspired by the fairy tales of Pavol Dobšinský and Slavic mythology, complete tasks, and discover the values of cooperation, courage, and harmony.

2. An interactive experience for children

It’s not just about watching the program. Children actively participate in games, workshops, and stories, which develop their imagination and creativity. New this year is LESTIPAS—a playful discovery system that lets children explore the festival, complete tasks, and collect stamps for their adventures. They can also look forward to physics experiments for all age groups, a safe and quiet space for babies and toddlers, painting large-format pictures, and the popular wooden carousel for the little ones.

3. A Program for the Whole Family

In addition to children’s activities, there are concerts, theater performances, workshops, and relaxation zones. Everyone can find something to their liking, whether they’re looking for fun or peace and quiet in nature.

4. A Strong Atmosphere in Nature

The festival takes place in a large historic park that transforms into an “enchanted forest” filled with installations and lights. That atmosphere is a big part of the experience.

5. Originality and a Slovak story

Unlike many other events, Lestival draws on Slovak fairy tales (e.g., by Pavol Dobšinský) and Slavic mythology, which gives it a unique character.

For the youngest visitors, there will be cots for resting, free diapers for babies, and safe play areas.

The organizers are also continuing their tradition of solidarity. Just as in previous years, they will provide tickets for children’s homes and, for the first time, for senior care facilities and day care centers, so that all generations can enjoy the festival atmosphere.

Lestival is a festival where it’s not just about the program, but about the experience and atmosphere. It’s a place where children feel like they’re in a fairy tale and adults are reminded, for a moment, what it’s like to believe in fantasy. A weekend full of fantasy, adventure, and family experiences awaits you.

If you’re looking for something different from a typical concert or fair, this is exactly the kind of event that can surprise you.
