During the November 5th program series of the Cellar Tour, you will be able to discover Budapest's Wine District. The participating wineries await visitors with a wide selection of excellent wines and champagnes, and in some cases even a gourmet dinner. You can also participate in special experiences; you can take cellar walks with wine and champagne tasting, go to concerts or listen to podium talks.
2. St. Martin's Day Candlelight Express
The Candlelight Express, consisting of cozy bar carts and dining cars, will start its journey again on November 11. On the occasion of St. Martin's Day, you can take part in a special dinner on the imposing train, during which a pianist will guarantee a pleasant atmosphere. The three-hour trip is a great option for a relaxing St. Martin's Day getaway.
Thanks to the "Verzió" Documentary Film Festival, you can be part of a unique VR experience. Between November 9 and 12, 360-degree VR videos and interactive VR will be available to visitors in the Eötvös10 Cultural Center, which will help you gain insight into the situation of marginalized individuals and current social problems. With the help of these formats, you can get to know other perspectives and enrich yourselves with rare experiences.
For the seventh time, the European Art Cinema Day awaits film fans, which will be held on November 13 in hundreds of art cinemas in more than 30 countries. Several Hungarian art cinemas also participate in the program, including the Uránia National Film Theater, which welcomes visitors with a special selection of films and pre-premier screenings. The purpose of the event is to present the diversity of European cinema and the cultural and communal role of art cinemas.
This year, the Board Games Festival® and Fair will be held at Lurdy House between November 12 and 13. At the event, there will be a wide selection of board games, that interested parties will be able to try out together. Moreover, the games will be available for purchase at a discounted price during the two-day festival.
On November 26, you can take part in a Turkish bath trip organized by Experience Balkan. In the framework of the program, firstly, you can get to know the history of Rácváros, its important locations and its world-famous spas. After the walk, you will be guided to the Rudas Spa, where you can refresh in the water while listening to will hear Balkan stories.
You get to see special, educational art films organized by the Temples of Art and the Castle Garden Cinema between November 5 and 29. The series of screenings will include the works of Monet, Boticelli, Van Gogh and Rembrandt, among others. If several films would attract your attention, it is even worth buying a film club pass for the duration of the program.
For those who would like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the capital in November, we can recommend an excellent gastronomic event on the 5th. In the town of Zebegény, located an hour's drive away, they are preparing Goose Day this year. You can taste crispy roast goose, liver, greaves, plum jam, quince dip and many other delicacies.
Every Sunday of the month, you can take part in various family programs in the City Park. The Millenium House/Neo Contemporary Art Square organizes exciting, informative events, during which you can participate in experiential and creative sessions, workshops, thematic sessions or book presentations. Among other things, special attention will be paid to disabled children and their families, environmental awareness and African culture.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy active recreation during the month, at the Központ's weekend starter yoga class. On the 4th, Kristóf Schneider will prepare aromatherapy hatha flow yoga for the enthusiastic participants. The stress-relieving exercises that are ideal for beginners too, will be a great opportunity to start the weekend in a great mood.
