Hidden on a quiet residential street in the 16th arrondissement, Maison de Balzac is the former Paris home of writer Honoré de Balzac. The museum explores his daily life and literary world through manuscripts, portraits, personal objects and documents connected to his work. The garden is also worth visiting and offers a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower.
In our opinion, it is one of the best small museums to choose if you enjoy literature and prefer intimate places to large, crowded institutions.
