For an entire weekend, Paris opens the doors to its heritage. The European Heritage Days offer a chance to discover monuments, museums, institutions, libraries, workshops and places that are usually closed to the public, with most activities free of charge.
The 43rd edition focuses in particular on “Photographic Heritage” and “Heritage in Danger: Revive, Resist, Reimagine.”
PROGRAMME
Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September
The programme takes place throughout the capital and includes:
• special monument and institutional tours;
• guided tours and urban walks;
• workshops and demonstrations;
• talks and cultural meetings;
• exceptional openings;
• activities in libraries and museums;
• events dedicated to the Seine and photographic heritage.
Already announced highlights include the Panthéon, Institut du Monde Arabe, Musée Carnavalet, Musée Zadkine, Musée Bourdelle and Bibliothèque Forney.
