The performances create an unforgettable experience and are one of the city’s most popular free attractions. Music and light shows take place every Wednesday and Sunday at 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

For those who prefer to learn more about the local culture during their travels, the Coll-Vallcarca Residents’ Association offers free courses in a typical and traditional dance every Friday from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Join a free Sardana dance class organised by the Associació de Veïns i Veïnes del Coll-Vallcarca. These beginner-friendly lessons introduce visitors to Catalonia’s traditional dance in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Places are limited, so advance registration is recommended.
Film lovers shouldn’t miss the Summer Cinema programme at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB). This year’s edition dialogues with the exhibition “The Cult of Beauty” and revolves around the representation of beauty in cinema. We will see a selection of films from the fantasy, horror and science fiction genres that explore the idealization of beauty, the obsession with perfection, aesthetic pressure and the tendency to associate beauty with youth, power and eternity. From July 28 to August 13 at the CCCB.
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm are dedicated to music and concerts at the Can Verdaguer Civic Center. They begin on August 4th and the last one is scheduled for the 25th. The activities are varied and include craft fairs, music and dance, traditional games, shows and much more.
As soon as the Festa Major de Gràcia ends, another festival begins (August 22-30), similar to the previous one. Like Gràcia, the streets are beautifully decorated and filled with concerts, workshops and community events, but the atmosphere is generally more local and less crowded with tourists.
