Georgia is very mountainous – most of its territory is located in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus – which offers you dramatic peaks, glacial lakes, alpine meadows, forests, deep gorges and diverse terrain. In one trip you can get from the subalpine zone to the high mountains (many peaks exceed 5,000 m).
2. Rich culture, history and remote villages along the trails
Hikes often pass through ancient villages, old watchtowers, monasteries and historical routes. You don’t just see nature – you see people’s lives, traditions and architecture in remote places. For example, the trek “Mestia – Ushguli” leads through UNESCO-listed villages in Svaneti.

Whether you want short one-day hikes, moderately difficult multi-day treks, or challenging mountain climbs, Georgia offers a variety of options.

Have a lot of fun with Tom. He made a trip to Georgia by bicycle and back, covering more than 7,000 km in 101 days. Then he bought an old tuk-tuk (about 35 years old) in Thailand and left Bangkok with it through Asia and Europe (Thailand → Myanmar → India → Nepal → Iran → Turkey → Europe). He also undertook the “Africa on a tuk-tuk” expedition, during which he traveled through several African countries on a three-wheeled vehicle. He makes documentaries, writes books about his travels and publishes his experiences, photos and videos.
