Ferencváros Advent Fair

This year, a brand-new collaboration brings something truly special to Ferencváros: the district, the FMK Cultural Center and Pancs – gasztroplacc are joining forces for the very first time to create the official Advent Fair of Ferencváros.

Pancs has been shaping the local community for more than nine years — running markets, building neighbourhood events and bringing together producers, makers and visitors every single week. Now they’re taking this same community-focused spirit into the festive season. The Ferencvárosi Művelődési Központ has also long been a key player in the district’s cultural life, supporting contemporary art, local civil groups and all initiatives that help build strong, welcoming communities.

This fair is the shared “child” of this collaboration — a place where gastronomy, culture and community experiences come together. The idea was to create something a little different from the usual Advent markets. Instead of a long, continuous event, the fair runs in concentrated three-day weekends (Friday–Sunday), making it possible for pop-up exhibitors to join as well. This keeps the market fresh and exciting from week to week.

Ferenc tér will completely transform for Advent: food trucks, charming wooden stalls, and a heated indoor pavilion filled with workshops await visitors. You’ll find everything from gingerbread decorating and fermentation workshops to creative crafts and gastro programs. The stage will host shows and activities all weekend long — for kids and adults alike.

Of course, Pancs will bring its signature quality food offer: Christmas-themed products, artisanal treats, local produce, handmade gifts, craft beers, jewellery, accessories, and your favourite regular market items as well.

In short: a full Advent experience space built with lights, scents, music and community moments. The team hopes you’ll love it as much as they loved creating it.
