Indoor Beer Festival

One of the most distinctive highlights of Budapest’s winter event calendar returns in February. The Indoor Beer Festival, Hungary’s only winter beer festival, will be held for the ninth time on February 6–7, 2026, hosted in the elegant halls of the New York Palace Hotel.

The core concept remains unchanged: unlimited beer tasting is included with every ticket. Visitors can sample nearly 100 different draft beers in small tasting portions, allowing them to compare styles side by side and explore flavors at their own pace. The focus is not on volume, but on understanding beer as a crafted product shaped by ingredients, brewing techniques and fermentation methods.

The festival offers a strong international selection. Alongside Hungarian craft breweries, beers from the Czech Republic, Germany, the UK and Belgium will be available, covering a wide spectrum from traditional lagers and wheat beers to hop-forward IPAs and full-bodied stouts. The event is designed for both seasoned beer enthusiasts and curious newcomers.

Beer is presented as part of a broader gastronomic experience. Carefully selected food options complement the drinks, creating pairings that enhance the tasting journey. The relaxed pace of the festival encourages conversation, discovery and social connection, making beer a shared cultural experience rather than a quick indulgence.

The venue itself plays a key role in the atmosphere. Hosted at the Anantara New York Palace Budapest, one of the city’s most iconic hotels, the festival brings modern beer culture into a refined and comfortable setting.
