Everyone keeps saying: do this and don’t do that. Art says – nothing, for months. But what does it say when it suddenly says something again? Maybe it just says: just do what you want.
From 31 October to 02 December, the Wien Modern Festival will once again open a month of the largest platform for inspiring encounters between artists and listeners of new music of all shapes and colours. The programme and tickets can be found on the festival’s official website.
This year’s topic: “If only everything were this simple”. Pandemic, war, climate change, inflation – right now, humanity has got its hands full with complexity, surprises, insecurities, overloads, misunderstandings and all things that in some way require explanation, patience and careful listening.
