1. City Hall Film Festival

For more than 30 years, the Film Festival in front of Vienna´s City Hall has been a symbol of the city. This year, a spectacular and varied programme has been prepared for all cinematic fans. Come and enjoy our city's unique blend of culture, cuisine, and flair. This year's programme includes opera, classical music, pop, rock, jazz, dance, world music, and of course, musicals. For foodies, an adjacent area will be transformed into a culinary paradise once more.

2. Ottakringer Beer Festival

The summer season is here and with it your favourite beer festival in Ottakring. With free entry, the brewery will once again transform itself into a stage for beer variety, street food, plenty of music and cosy get-togethers. The Ottakringer Beer Festival will take place from the 30th June to the 2nd September, so no worries, you have enough time to come. A variety of craft beers and special brews have been prepared for you to taste. To make the trip to Ottakring extra worthwhile, there are also interesting attractions and activities on the programme – for example, the long-awaited Beer Yoga will be back again.

3. Amadeus Festival Vienna

There aren't enough first-rate music and cultural events in Vienna. These make our city one of the most important cultural centres in the world. The AMADEUS Festival Vienna brings together internationally renowned artists from Vienna and around the world. The second edition of this incredible musical event, which can be described as a magical meeting point between music and art, will take place from June 30 to July 2, 2022. So, make sure you don't miss out on this exciting new music festival in the heart of Austria's capital.

4. HalliGalli Children´s Festival

A children's festival is being held at the HaWei in Vienna's 14th district on Saturday, July 2nd. will for sure be full of fun and games, as well as a Kasperltheater, a concert, and many other attractions for your little ones to enjoy. Please bring your own picnic blanket and food to the event and If you have any old toys or other children's items you'd like to donate, you can exchange them for other items at the festival's bazaar. Even though the admission´s free, be sure to register as there are limited places.

5. Montur & Pulverdampf Medieval Festival

Are you interested in history? Would you like to spend a day dressed in a historical outfit and get a glimpse into how life was in the medieval times? If so, this month, the medieval festival called Montur und Pulvedampf will take place in the Museum of Military History. For those who will come dressed for the occasion, entry to the festival is free. Plenty of exhibitions show battels, children´s activities and even a medieval market have been prepared to keep you entertained throughout the 2-day festival. Be sure to check it out!

6. Farmers Market Under the Palm Trees

After the wonderful last month´s edition, the pop-up market in Burggarten will be happening in July as well. This month from the 21st of July, the Farmer's Market under Palm Trees has even better things prepared! The entire market takes place in the Palm House. There is everything your heart desires, from bread to fish, wine to cheese! You can meet our producers, enjoy various treats, do your weekly shopping and of course, taste the best food in a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of activities for children have been prepared to make your day a little less stressful. 😀

7. Afrika Days Vienna

Once again, the Afrika Days Festival takes place on the Danube Island. From July 22nd to early August, artists from all over Africa will be showcasing their art and culture to the entire city of Vienna. An array of bars and food stands serving African food, cocktails, and drinks will cater to visitors' physical well-being. In addition, the African market, which is a part of the festival, will offer first-class, exclusive handicrafts, musical instruments, fabrics, clothes, jewellery, masks and sculptures, art, and a variety of other things with traditional and modern African music.

8. Kaleidoskop Film Festival

After two years of extraordinary circumstances, Kaleidoskop returns to Karlsplatz and celebrates film and cinema cultures in public space in its fourth edition with a film festival of diverse urban societies. Kaleidoscope features around two weeks of summer evenings with current cinematic works that bring the diversity of coexistence in urban spaces to the screen. Performances, concerts, talks, reading and plenty of conversations to share your ideas. All that awaits you at the Kaleidoskop Festival in July.

9. popfest Vienna

Following two limited festival editions which had to accommodate the pandemic measures, the 13th edition of the pop music festival called Popfest Wien will be held on and around Karlsplatz on a regular basis in the week from July 28 to July 31, 2022. You can expect to see and enjoy a variety of musical acts, both large and small, to please your senses and help you relax your mind after a week full of work. The entire programme will be announced at the party on June 30th however, so make sure you´ll get updated on what´s going to happen at this year´s Popfest Wien.

10. dotdotdot Open Air Filmfest

The dotdotdot Open Air Festival has finally arrived. During this year's edition, you'll be able to watch short films from around 40 different countries while taking in the fresh air and the night sky of Vienna. Furthermore, the festival provides a special online database where you can search for additional short films. Tickets and a schedule of all film screenings are available on the festival's official website. In bad weather, the festival will take place in the adjacent Great hall of the Volkskundemuseum.
