Les Big Byrd

Since the middle of the 2010s, Les Big Byrd has earned an equally peculiar and obvious place on the radar of music lovers both within Sweden and internationally. Something that is not particularly difficult to understand given the band’s cross-border witch’s brew of space rock, hypnotizing psychedelia and disciplined kraut. That their mind-blowing space rock is also decorated with the band’s undeniable talent for glittery melodies and irresistible choruses certainly has something to do with it.

The band, which today consists of Jocke Åhlund, Frans Johansson, Nino Keller and Christian Olsson, is currently in something of a creative momentum. Not even two years after the super-acclaimed ‘Eternal Light Brigade’, their fourth album ‘Diamonds, Rhinestones and Hard Rain’ is released – perhaps their most dynamic, inspired and complete album so far. However, Les Big Byrd’s versatility is not only found on the albums but also reflected in the band’s explosive and artistic stage performances and now we can happily announce that the quartet will play at Fållan in Stockholm on June 1 and at Pustervik in Gothenburg on June 5.
