Einstürzende Neubauten – a band that embodies innovation and avant-garde in the music world – have been pioneers of the industrial music scene since their inception in Berlin in 1980. With their name meaning ‘collapsing new buildings’, they have pioneered a genre that blurs the lines between music and noise. Now they’re returning to Sweden. On October 12, we’ll finally get to experience the beautiful in the warped, when Einstürzende Neubauten play at Fållan in Stockholm.
The group, led by the charismatic Blixa Bargeld, has become known for creating music from pieces of metal, drills and various types of percussion. This experimental approach to music has resulted in a unique soundscape unlike any other.
Einstürzende Neubauten’s music is more than just sound – it is an art form that explores themes of urbanity, politics and humanity. The group are sculptors of sound, architects of a musical movement that continues to inspire and challenge. For those seeking a deeper understanding of the boundaries between sound and music, Einstürzende Neubauten offers a whole world to explore. Their albums, including ‘Halber Mensch’ and ‘Alles Wieder Offen’, demonstrate an impressive breadth and depth of artistic expression.
With a career spanning four decades, Einstürzende Neubauten continue to be just as relevant and innovative. Their live performances are immersive experiences, with each concert being a unique journey through sound and emotion. Now they are finally returning to Sweden.
The concert is organized by FKP Scorpio & Headstomp.
