What happens at the Nordic Museum when the autumn darkness has fallen and the staff have gone home? Experience Night at the Nordic Museum, get ready for a trip back in time in the Vault of Time and the Playhouse and solve missions and mysteries in an enigmatic museum during the autumn holidays.

Night at the Nordic Museum ?
31 October and 1 November. You need a pre-purchased ticket.

What actually happens at the Nordic Museum after dark? There is something strange about the old museum building. A lot of mysterious traces and figures have been glimpsed lately. The museum assures that everything is in order. But rumor has it that the old essence archive has been unlocked. During two evenings during the autumn holidays, you have the chance to find out for yourself what is on.

The Nordic Museum welcomes families with children celebrating Halloween to an interactive museum experience filled with enigmatic beings and cultural-historical stories from folklore.

31 October and 1 November. You need a pre-purchased ticket.

Who: For children aged 6 and over accompanied by an adult (suitable for children up to around 10 years).
When: 31 October and 1 November.
How: You pre-purchase a ticket for a certain start time that you choose in the purchase. First start time is 18.30, last start time 21.00. The tour takes about 50 minutes.

The Time Vault ⌛
You need a pre-purchased ticket.

Get ready for a trip back in time! At the bottom of the museum’s basement vaults there is a magical place – the Vault of Time. Through a magical portal you step straight into the children’s history.
For those from 8 years.
Before your visit, you pre-purchase a ticket for a time pass with a specific start time. Each session is 90 minutes long and has a limited number of places.

Price: SEK 60/child, adult SEK 140 (incl. entrance to the museum).

The playhouse – every day during the holidays ?
You need a pre-purchased ticket .

In Lekstugan, it is the 1890s on a farm in the country. Dress up as a maid or servant and play your way through all the farm’s chores.
For those from 5 years in the company of an adult.

Family Trail – solve quests and mysteries ?️‍?️

Mission Arctic : Bring the family and accompany Sickis the Lapdog through the iceberg and learn lifehacks to survive in the coldest places on Earth in Mission: Arctic .
The Time Detectives : Become a Time Detective , follow the clues and find the missing marzipan figure.
The Hunt for the Secret Word : Look for clues among the dresses, suits, hats and shoes in the Hunt for the Secret Word .

The children’s audio guide ?
Every day 10.00–17.00. Included in the entrance fee.

Discover exciting objects and history! A diminutive Gustav Vasa rises from his throne in the Great Hall and accompanies you on a tour of the museum’s exhibitions.
