Vernissage: Tove Kjellmark/Horse, robot and the immeasurable. Fans of art and sculptures, Tove Kjellmark is here to sate your hunger for both. With autumnal theme of horses and their majesty, it is going to be a sight to behold and admire the creativity.
Welcome to the vernissage on Saturday 15 October 16.00-21.00 in Färgfabrikens Stora sal. Opening at 17.00 with curator Emilia Rosenqvist and Joanna Sandell, director of Södertälje Konsthall. The stallion Zaragateiro and the rider Malin Hellstedt will also participate.
“The horse, the robot and the immeasurable” is the result of a pioneering artistic research project by artist Tove Kjellmark. At the centre is the horse, whose movements and physicality the artist has explored in a process that fuses traditional sculptural craftsmanship with advanced technology. The result is a collection of newly produced works: hybrid sculptures, videos and drawings. Works that seek the immeasurable, question ingrained patterns of thought and reflect on the dissolution of bodily boundaries, such as the movement between life and death.
