Stockholm celebrates another movie festival! This time it is time to welcome Latin-American movies here in the north! These movies will sure bring you a nice heat from across the ocean.

Panoramica – Stockholm’s (and Sweden’s) largest Latin American film festival is back for the 8th year in a row with a full festival package after two years of pandemic. Welcome to the cinemas Zita Folkets Bio, Klarabiografen, Skärisbiografen and Bio Bristol on 20 – 25 September to enjoy the latest films from the Latin American region.

The theme of this year’s edition is Resilience. The ability to resist and cope with change, but at the same time to look ahead and evolve. An overarching theme that runs through Panoramica’s festival programme of films, screenings and seminars. An important focus of this year’s edition is also the difference between reality and dream, the natural versus the supernatural, which is addressed in one of the festival’s seminars: Magic Realism in Latin American Cinema Today. This year the festival opens with a returning Panoramica director, Sol Berruezo Pichon-Riviére, second feature NUESTROS DÍAS MÁS FELICES, a beautiful fable that invites us all, through a story of old age and family relationships, to let go, of a mother-son relationship that transforms absurd situations into magical moments of life and death, fantasy and reality. The director will come to the festival and participate in the screenings.
