Pride at ZITA

Do you want to celebrate Pride week with your partner? Then what´s better than enjoying good LGBTQ+ movies provided by ZITA? Tag along for movies that aren´t afraid to show their support to the community.

?✨PRIDE AT ZITA 2022✨?

Stockholm Pride is finally back in full capacity with years of total absence, scaled down format and restrictions. This year the capital is once again coloured with all the colours of the rainbow, smouldering with glitter, love and dance to take over the streets of Stockholm in the large scale parade!

In association with Stockholm Pride, Zita has, as usual, put together a film programme to be shown during Pride week. Of course, we’re a little extra excited that Rocky Horror Picture Show – audience participation is back, filling Salon 1 with outstanding creations, song and dance for days three!

Be tempted by treats like previews of the Estonian film Firebird, the documentary about the lesbian writer behind Talented Mr. Ripley and Carol in Loving Highsmith, Francois Ozon’s upcoming film about Peter von Kant.

Monday’s queer classic is Cheryl Dunye’s meta-film The Watermelon Woman, which is the first film directed by a black, “open” lesbian in the US.

All week long, Zita will be screening films outside straightland and proudly raising our Pride flags – then, as now, and forever. ?️‍??️‍⚧️?️‍?

Tickets are available at the cinema with prices being:
Zita friends –> 80 SEK
Pensioners/student/unemployed/youth –> 100 SEK or 120 SEK for long movies
Regular price –> 130 SEK
Extra long movies –> 150 SEK
